Girls Retreat!!!

Finally! I have all the pictures so I can now properly post an update on how our girls retreat went. First, I want to explain to you who the invited guest were. Of course the dean ladies [Monca, Yana, and myself], but our guest of honor were the girl RA's [Elyse and Eszter]. The RA's are the student leaders. They are the authority in the rooms, our go to girls, but more that that over the course of they year they have became our friends. I love both of these girls dearly and appreciate all of their hard work this year. So this girls retreat was a weekend planned to allow them [and us] time to relax, fellowship with one another, and spend time in the Word together. We had so much fun.

We began our weekend on Friday afternoon. We all arrived to Monca's apartment and ate cookies, and watched a movie on the book of John. [This gave us the theme for the weekend: Loving God, Loving others]

We also had a wonderful dinner prepared for us by Yana. And oh man… was is good. It was pasta with broccoli and a homemade alfredo sauce. Later that evening we had a few surprises. The first was having our own personal spa. We did facials, nails, aerobics and even had ZsuZsi [a missionary/friend] come to give us all a message. It was such a relaxing time. The next surprise was for a special birthday! Eszter's birthday was coming up so why not celebrate. right? So we had a beautiful cake made and all enjoyed eating it as we turned on a movie to settle down for the night.

We had a full day planned for Saturday. We woke up and had American French Toast for breakfast. Then we headed to the bus stop. We spent the day in Budapest. Our first stop was a Turkish Bath. It was a very eye opening experience to say the least- if you know what I mean. For dinner we ate at Pizza Hut. They had amazing pizza, so of course we ate until we were completely stuffed. On Sunday, we went to church here on campus. But, the afternoon was packed out with a bike ride. Yeah a 9 mile bike ride… but little did the RA's know where we were going. Yeah we went to a "sweet shop" to spend the last bit of money we raised! It was well worth it. Here are a few last pictures as we concluded our girls retreat weekend.

We had sweet time in the Word this morning after church. Or some chose to nap or  "pray"!
