nothings really new...

Hello everyone,
I am sorry I don't update this very often. Once I get to Hungary I am sure there will be more to say. As for now, life is pretty much the same. Most of my time is spent on school work. My other 4 classes began today. So I am in a total of 6 classes for the next 2 weeks until 2 of my classes end. I have started my teaching practicum [basically a class where I need 90 hours of observation in a classroom] which has me at the WOL Inn every morning, and then in the office for the afternoons. Although it is only my second day I have really enjoyed being involved with the program.
Last night I was able to share with my home church [Fellowship Baptist] about my recent and upcoming trip to Hungary through Skype. This was a wonderful time. I miss my church. I have been going to the same church since I was 2 years old. This body of believers have become my family over the years. They are my prayer warriors, biggest supporters, number 1 fans, and such a huge encouragement.
Also last night we celebrated Addison Peace (She is the little girl in my picture) 2nd birthday. When first moved up here she was about 6 months old (i believe). She is such a mess, but I love her dearly. I have enjoy babysitting her and her siblings, as well as getting to know her family. They have been a huge blessing to me. It has been such a blessing to watch her grow and to see her parents raise her in a Godly home.
Camps started this past Saturday. The Lord is already doing a great work in the hearts and lives of the staff and campers. It is going to be a great summer. My home church is come to camp in a few weeks, so I am so excited to see everyone and spend time with them. This will be there first time coming to camp in New York, although things are very different from Florida I am sure they will enjoy their week here.
Also coming up in a few more weeks is my big GOODBYE. I will be leaving New York on July 30th or 31st. Please be in prayer for me as I am finishing thing here and saying my goodbyes. What a bittersweet time it will be...

-Traveling mercies -I will be going home at the end of July and then flying to Hungary at the beginning of September.

-Staff in Hungary as they are preparing for camps and a new school year.


2. Financially- As the organization is a faith-based organization, I am required to raise my own support/salary. My budget for this trip will be 10,000.00 that includes my traveling, visa, insurance, room and board, and my monthly stipend/salary. I need around 50% before I can get to the mission field (September 2010) and the remaining $5,000.00 by June 2011. Job 1:21

First i apologize it has taken me so long to post again. Keeping up with this blog may be harder than i thought.

So today I was thinking of the all loved ones God has placed in my life. This was on my mind for many reasons. In the next few months I will be packing up and moving across the world, tomorrow marks 4 years of my Papa death and I have the world’s best parents, who have been married for 24 years today... [p.s. congrats] Always, growing up my parents made sure my sisters and I had everything we needed. I would even go as far as to say everything we wanted. They took us to church every time the doors were open. They showed me the importance of the body of Christ and faithfulness to the local church. They modeled for me the love of Christ. The taught me what it was to live by the Word of God, by values and morals. They showed me how to love others with an unconditional love. I have amazing sisters who have taught me almost everything I know in life. [Some good things and some bad thing… haha.] They are my best friends and my favorite people to argue with. They have both taught me so many different things. Lisa has taught me how to apply makeup. I remember when we were young Jessica teaching me to blow a bubble with my gum. But on a more serious note my sisters have showed me what it is like to be a true friend to someone. They tell me what I need to hear when I need to hear it. They help me on little meaningless things as well as all the big issues life throws my way. They are my biggest fan club and huge encouragements. My sister Lisa has blessed me with a hysterical brother-in-law and 2 joys- Makalah and Jordan. We may fight like brothers and sisters at times, but deep down I would give my world for these two. They mean so much to me, and they are so stinking cute I can’t help but love them. Jessica has recently found the love of her life [Matt Greene] and I’m sure we will have many memories of the years to come. God has also placed grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins and with them come lots on other extended family members all who I love and miss dearly. I thank God daily for my friends whom he has placed in my life. It is so cool to look back and remember someone you just couldn't’t live without in the 2nd grade, your pre-teen and youth group friends or those who were close to during college. Some moved away and others moved on in life, some are still your best friends, the Lord has called some of them home and many of us have went our separate ways, but still there is a part of each one you who makes me who I am today. For that I am thankful.

Job 1:21 “The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD."



A quick update on Hungary... I have accepted the position of the assistant dean of women. At the end of July will be heading home to NC to unpack and repack and then at the end of August i will be moving to Hungary. Please be praying for me as i start raising my support. I will be speaking to my home church June 27th over Skype.If you would like more information about how to support me please email me as ashley.d.wise@gmail.com Also, so i can focus on my ministry once i get to Hungary, i have decided to finish my education sooner. I have a knew graduation date of August 20, 2010. I will be taking 6 classes for the next few months. This is a big load for anyone, but especially hard with a full time job.
