First and foremost I want to say a very special thank you to everyone who prayed for and supported me. Without your prayers and support I would have never had this amazing opportunity. I can honestly say this trip has changed my life. It has challenged my purpose, it has burdened my heart, and it has moved me with compassion.
We began our trip Thursday, April 29th, due to us missing our connecting flight we were able to tour London. This was a great experience, but caused us to miss a great opportunity to have a park ministry in Budapest, Hungary.
When we finally arrived in Hungary we “hit the ground running”. We began by doing a presentation at 2 church services. One for a local church and another for the Bible Institute campus. The team was able to visit two different orphanages, and teach English in different schools, and working on the Word of Life Property. We saw many seeds planted, and 19 salvation's.
Instead of being directly involved with the program, I was challenged to sit back a pray for the students. I was able to encourage our students as they ministered.
Also I was able to be apart of the missionaries/staff members lives for the week. I was burdened with a great need. They have a Bible Institute, summer camps, local church Bible clubs– just like here in the states. But they have very few staff members. Matthew 9:37 says, “...The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;” The Lord has shown me a great need and He will equip me if I am willing. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 says, He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it.”
With that being said i have applied to intern in Hungary beginning in September. I do not know all the details just yet, but i am following the Lord's leading and provision and acting in obedience. Word of Life has just began a new program that allows me to still take Liberty Online while overseas. So as far as that goes i should still be able to graduate in December. I should find out what my job will be very soon, and also begin the process of raising support. I am diligently working to pay off as much of my school loans before i leave.
Please pray with me as i began this awesome experience, but also continue on my journey of obedience to the Lords calling in my life.
